Relay race vs Life

Life!!!!!!!. When we pronounce this word, millions of thoughts are running on top of our minds from birth to death bed. One specific thing I would like to chew over is “Generation”. Facts, respect, culture, history, assets, money, debt, vengeance, memories, power, etc.. which are shared from the previous to the current generation, means we are the one… You and me. And one big question immediately comes to our mind, what we are going to leave to the next generation for our children.

One full generation let’s compare with the one lap of relay race 4*100. Let’s split the lap into particular generations like below.

Grandfather’s generation is the first lap

Father generation is the second lap

Our generation is the third lap

Our children’s generation is the fourth lap and so on….

The victory depends on each sprinter. Among four, one sprinter didn’t take part well and with a fraction of seconds delay will put the next lap sprinter in nightmare and probability of victory will reduce.

Assume the first lap sprinter runs faster enough and passes the baton. It is the bonus and the possibility of the winning chance is higher right!…

The entire team will get collapse if one sprinter is injured in the middle of his effort.

What if the sprinter is trying to cheat and because of one sprinter the entire team gets disqualified?

Let’s not consider the victory of the whole relay race. We are going to talk about the one sprinter’s effort. Even the sprinter got the baton with delay, at that moment if he tries he can pass the baton to the next lap sprinter as much as faster by trying his best. An effort that he puts into his lap matters than anything.

The same applies here… Whatever we have received from the previous generation. It can be anything like Ambani’s son or an orphan. At this moment, what decision and effort we make will create a big impact. It determines the fate of our sons and daughters.

Let’s think about different current generation lifestyles:

Below comparison, relay baton is equal to facts, respect, culture, history, assets, money, debt, vengeance, memories, Power, etc.. and relay lap means a particular generation.

Person 1: He has his own bungalow house and very rich like Ambani. His grandfather and father earned and pass that to him. He is leading a smooth life. In his relay lap (generation), it is enough to put actual effort to pass the baton to the next generation.

Person 2: He is a middle-class and normal government employee who can also lead a smooth life. If he wants to earn more and put more effort into his life, he can save assets and give them to the next generation. He can pass the baton with no delay to the next generation.

Person 3: He is a poor guy and his father died at a young age. He struggles a lot to live his normal life and to give a good life to his children. Here the guy not received his baton properly. He has to put more effort to overcome the delay.

Person 4: He is an orphan, and no one is there to support him. His parents are unknown. He should start the race from scratch as a first sprinter.

Consider the above four people are running on the same relay track. All four are in different stages of different situations and surroundings. On the same track, one is going in a car, the other one is walking and the other one is going in a wheelchair too to pass the baton. We are one among the above people. Anyhow, we have to figure out how to pass the baton. Sometimes it doesn’t matter what we get from the previous sprinter, let’s try our best to pass the baton sooner to the next sprinter in a good way.
