Human Trafficking

Human Trafficking is slavery that men and women are forced to work for others (Peck 10). Many of Human Trafficking situations have to do with women being forced to give up their bodies for money. Many people do not realize that Human Trafficking can be committing a crime and as a community, many induvial should help make an end to it.

Human Trafficking crimes

Human Trafficking is a enormous crime all over the world. Many individuals don’t tend to think of the crime rate for Human Trafficking is huge. Some Human Traffickers may get arrested for posting fake ads and fake social media pages posted by hired prostitutes.

This video explains the crimes of Human Trafficking being done all over the United States and how they plan to make an end to it. The two often crimes are for Sex Trafficking and Human Trafficking. Sex Trafficking is when women have sex with other men for money, this can be used for many young women around the age of 17 and older along with men also.

Victims involved in Human Trafficking

Many victims are involved in Human Trafficking or Sex Trafficking, and some of them are willing to share their stories with the world. Many of them tend to seek help with a social worker or any programs that are available for them to feel safe. Survivors of Human Trafficking tend to get emotional, physically and mentally pain and often want somewhere to stay to have social support and psychological treatment (Pascual-Leone 51). For example, a victim of Human Trafficking says she lived in a small house with 30 other women (Pascual-Leone 51). As the employer often played games with her mind and other women, he told her he loved her, promised to have a secure future for her and her children. As time went by Maria was sexually abused. He controlled her life, setting curfews for her, commanded her but all she wanted to do is leave her workplace (Pascual-Leone 51). Maria then found therapy and a social worker to help with all the pain and trauma she went through. Often many survivors do not tend to speak up because they feel that they may threaten them if they speak up to the cops. If someone or you know of someone going through this type of situation, never hesitate to speak up. It is essential to get your voices heard.

Why is it important to make a difference and end Human Trafficking?

It is important to make a difference in Human Trafficking because every life matter. It can cause many disorders and symptoms, for example, depression, anxiety, and trauma (Pascual-Leone 51). Many survivors can often tend to have anger and hate in many people because of past experiences they have dealt with. Victims may have lack of sleep or loss of interest in many things (Pascual- Leone 51). They may not want to be with anyone anymore in their life. Survivors make have different stages to their recovery process (Pascual- Leone 51). Many may lose trust in others because often many victims do not know what to believe after the nightmare they have gone through, making an end to Human Trafficking can be very important because too many victims it can be the world to them. There are many programs for the survivors to overcome the illness of stress syndrome, and they also provide food and shelter if they ever feel like they aren’t ready to come home. There are many social workers and social services that can help. Even if you do not want to tell anyone what you have gone through because of what people will say, you can go to the hospital to get tested for pregnancy rape. People should never hesitate to call for help. Many people are willing to help. No means no and our bodies are worth way more than for it being sold to random men or women. Lets make an end to this fight!
