Book Reading
I have started Reading books and I decided it myself because I thought they are great ways to suppress your negative thoughts and give you some clarity.
I decided to start with Historic Novels because that is my favourite genre to read and I then continue my reading in various genres.
My first book is Sivakami’s Vow which is of 4 parts written by Kalki. I am always a fan of Kalki because He gives importance to every character and make the story progress with very ease. He maintains the suspense until the end and this work is so good that I re read it 2 times.
Parts are:
book 1: Paranjyothi’s Journey
book 2: Seige of Kanchi
book 3: Bikshu’s love
book 4: A Shattered Dream.
Coming to summary..
Set up in Kanchi in 700 AD, Chalukyan king Pulikesi is trying to invade kanchi with his gigantic force and is nearing kanchi. meanwhile pallavan king Mahendravarman and his son Narasimhavarman are in preparations to encounter the invasion. Meanwhile a Young kid named Paranjyothi from Thirusettangudi in Chola country arrived at Kanchi to get education.
Court dancer sivakami gets kidnapped by chalukyan forces and Pallava king lost the war because of a bikshu.
How Pallava king won the war is the rest of the story.
I am not revealing everything because I want to have that enjoyment for the reader while reading that.
Next, I would be reading Parthiban’s Dream which is also written by Kalki which is continuation story for this Novel.
