Heads turn and ears perk, the room is lit up from

The sound of her name

The way it oozes out of your mouth

Like a moan or melted candle wax warming you up from

The sound of her name

I find myself saying it in my sleep and waking those I share a room with

And calling those same wonderful people by her name on accident

It cannot be helped nor do I wait for it to stop

For I have never heard a more beautiful word than her name

The way the letters curve seductively out of my mouth

Make me feel calm and sturdy, simply from

The sound of her voice

The way everyone knows immediately who I’m talking about

My face lights up for I cannot help myself when I hear

The sound of her voice

Will I ever write down another word or speak anything else?

Will there ever be another noise or sound that brings me as much joy?

I don’t think I’ll ever love anything ever again
